Specialty Hawaiian Macadamia Cooking & Salad Oil

Though we have known for years that macadamia nuts are delicious to eat, not everyone knows that the oil pressed from them can be used in cooking and for salad dressings. Our macadamia oils offer a tasty, healthy alternative to other cooking oils with only a slight shift in flavor (we think, for the better). When substituting macadamia oil for another oil in a recipe, you often find that you can get away with using a little less.

Macadamia oil is 80% mono-unsaturated — the highest percentage among all popular cooking oils, and the most beneficial to our health, even more so than olive oil. It also has no trans fats or carbohydrates and a long shelf life of 20 months without refrigeration.

In addition, our macadamia oil is ideal for stir-fry and sautéing due to the high smoke point of 389°F.  This means the flavor won’t deteriorate even at very high temperatures.  And it is nearly twice that of extra virgin olive oil at 200°F.
